AIDAN CHAO

Aidan Chao is a nationally-recognized political operative who has been a major stakeholder in many of California’s highest profile political battles. Currently a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, Aidan started his political career in high school and has participated in three election cycles so far, raising millions in contributions and distinguishing himself as a skilled campaign manager and fundraiser for local, federal, and statewide candidates. Aidan is currently the president of Chao and Co. Consulting, his political fundraising and strategy firm. In addition, he chairs two nonprofits, the Los Angeles County Taxpayers Association and CALHaven, a coalition of statewide elected officials he helped build. He has also used served as a leader in Act Against Hate Alliance and other youth groups, and as a small business owner. Aidan regularly is featured in and contributed to multiple regional and statewide newspapers in California.

How I Help

Act Against Hate Alliance

Director of High School programs, Chapter President at Flintridge Preparatory School. First organization to pass anti-hate crime legislation in the CA legislature, SCR-15. Conducting operations in Chinese and English. Currently leading the effort to pass resolutions to Stand Against Hate in cities across the state.

Community Leader

Chairman and Founder of the Los Angeles County Taxpayers Association, the first taxpayers association in Los Angeles County. Chairman of CALHaven. LA County Business Federation (BizFed) member, Alliance for Economic Fairness founding member, Chandler School Alumni Association Class of 2020 Representative.

Campaign Advisor

Started as intern and now serving in senior leadership positions. In 2022, worked with Wes Hallman for Congress, Lanhee Chen for Controller, and many local campaigns. Currently Committee Chair at Jonathan Hatami for LA District Attorney, Campaign Director at Verlato for Congress, and advising other local, state, and federal campaigns.

Vintage Pen Co. is dedicated to restoring and selling the fines writing instruments of the 20th century. Stemming from Aidan’s passion for antique restoration and fountain pens, the company was started in 2021 and has introduced hundreds of clients to the world of vintage pens. Furthermore, Aidan has been an authority on American pens, speaking in interviews and curating information for presentations that have garnered hundreds of thousands of views.
